We proudly announce the organisation of a cluster of events on the island of Chios, Greece, on 24-27 June 2007, which aim to examine and make widely understood the crucial role that lifelong learning plays for development in rural Europe. The events include an international conference, seminar workshops, an open-access exhibition and fair, as well as a winners' final selection and presentation ceremony of a competition for students and teachers.
The possibilities for your participation in the RuraLEARN events are diverse. The following options are available:
Papers of academic and/or applied field research, in the international conference |
Presentations of case studies, in the seminar workshops |
Exhibition to the wider public of projects and innovative ideas, in the Rural Learning Fair |
Entries into a competition searching for the "Most Brilliant Idea for Better Village Life through Learning"; this is particularly aimed at students and teachers from rural settings in Europe |
The official languages of the organisation are English and Greek. Interpretation from and into these languages will be available in the international sessions.
